Participant FAQs

Questions? We Have Answers.

Everything you should know before joining a study.

What is a clinical trial?
A clinical trial is a carefully designed research study that evaluates whether an investigational medicine or device is safe and effective. Every trial at PharmaDev is reviewed and approved by an Institutional Review Board (IRB), follows FDA regulations and ICH Good Clinical Practice guidelines, and is conducted under the direct supervision of a board-certified physician.
Does it cost anything to participate?
No. All study-related medical care — exams, lab work, study medication, and monitoring — is provided at no cost to you. You do not need health insurance to participate.
Will I be compensated?
Most studies provide compensation for your time and travel. The amount varies by study and is explained clearly before you enroll — ranging from around $100 to several thousand dollars depending on the study and number of visits.
Is it safe? Can I leave a study at any time?
Your safety is our first priority. Every protocol is IRB-approved, you are monitored closely by our physicians at every visit, and our PI is available 24/7 for safety concerns. Participation is completely voluntary — you may withdraw at any time, for any reason, without affecting your regular medical care.
Will my information be kept private?
Yes. Your personal health information is protected under HIPAA and federal research regulations. Study data is coded and your identity is never shared in published results.
